Not sure where to start with this but I will lead with love and gratitude. We mourn the loss of a great man but also highlight and celebrate the life he lived, the experiences he offered and the love he gave. Herman Lee was more than just my partner's father—he was a father to me, too. From the moment I joined this loving family I was welcomed with a barbecue plate and to go container, he welcomed me with open arms, not as an outsider to be skeptical of, but as a son.
Herman Lee was a man of wisdom, kindness, and joy. He led by example, teaching me what it truly meant to be a devoted husband, a loving grandfather, human being, and a man of character. Whether it was through his steady advice, his unwavering support, or simply the way he carried himself, he shaped me in ways I can never fully express.
He had a way of making everyone feel valued and seen, offering a listening ear from his good ear, and sharing stories that would either leave you laughing or thinking deeply about extra-terrestrials. His presence was one of strength and warmth, a guiding light that we all leaned on for advice like: “if you don’t have it cash you don’t have it”. No sir re
Though our hearts are heavy with grief accepting the new reality without Herman Lee, I find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on—in the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the memories we hold close. I will carry his wisdom with me always, striving to be the kind of man he believed I could be.
Herman, thank you for pouring into me these past 24 years—for your love, your guidance, and the honor of calling you my father, I will always cherish my nickname Chrisoe. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
We are all forever grateful for our time with you.
Rest in peace. We love you!
Chris White
